The Managing Director Afuwa Welding Works And General Metal Construction Alhaji Mustapha A Sani opularly known as (Mustapha Afuwa) has urged Kano Nigeria and the world Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence in their relationship during the Sallah celebration and beyond.

The Eid-al-Adha festival is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar and it is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar year. It is the second of two great Muslim festivals, the other being Eid- al-Fitri marked on the first day of a new month (Shawwal) after the 30 days of fasting in the month of Ramadan.

The historical festival marks the culmination of the Hajj (pilgrimage) rites at Minā, Saudi Arabia, near Mecca, and is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world. As with Eid al- Fitr, it is distinguished by the performance of communal prayer (Salat Eid-al-Adha) at daybreak.

During the festival, families that can afford to sacrifice acceptable animals (sheep, goat, camel, or cow) do so and then divide the flesh equally among themselves, the poor, and friends and neighbours. It is also a time for exchanging gifts.

Alhaji Mustapha A Sani enjoined Muslims Ummah to increase their efforts in charitable endeavours, perseverance and spiritual intercession.

world for witnessing this year’s Eid-al- Adha. “I Alhaji Mustapha A Sani, i wish all Muslims Ummah happy Sallah, may Allah accept our ibadat, ameen”.
